Tim's Personal Review of 2010
Some would say that I haven't done much this year apart from playing EVE Online and World of Warcraft, but as I look back on 2010 and reflect on the past year it is evident that I have stopped playing games for a while and ventured outside once in a while!

Back in January 2010, I started learning to play the electric guitar, which wasn't as easy as the tutorial videos made it out to be. Still, I can just about play Smoke on the Water and something that may resemble Jimi Hendrix. Opinion is divided on that one though.
In February my and my brother in law decided it would be a good idea to climb a mountain and since Snowdon is the closest we picked that one. We did several training walks including Crook Peak and Cheddar Gorge and on March 22nd we both made it to the summit of Snowdon a little chilly and windswept. We managed to raise £1,295.11 for the UK charity Help for Heroes.
Also in February, I had my first opportunity doing a photography session with a model. Since I have never done any studio or portrait work before I took a portrait photography course which was conveniently just down the road from me. I had an amazing day and you can see the gallery here: portrait photography.
In May I passed my Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) on a motorbike which allows me to ride any bike up to 125cc / 15hp, then I purchased my first motorbike, a Yamaha YZF R125.
In June I took the week off work to go and do a different kind of work... outside. I was helping my brother in law to build a timber deck in the baking heat. A different experience, but one that tells me that working outside is not for me.
In August I had my credit card skimmed, I took my first photo of a meteor shower and I started playing EVE-Online. I guess that is when I stopped doing anything notable since the latter half of the year is almost empty apart from building my new computer.
Still, it's been an eventful and productive year nonetheless and 2011 starts with training for three peaks in April. More on that later.
Happy New Year Everybody, let's hope it's gonna be a cracker!
