Time To Burn...
My new Ben Sherman designer clothes fit a lot tighter than the loose tee's I usually wear, and unfortunately, my (small) beer belly shows through. After months of nagging, my brother in law has finally convinced me to start working out at the gym with him.
Since the car crash a few years ago I have been using an exercise bike a few times a week, but now I will be upping that to include rowing and lots of weight training.
My main aims for this are to:
1) Loose my beer belly
2) Reduce body fat all round (not that I am fat, just a little pudgy in places)
3) Get my 6-pack back
4) Strengthen and tone my arms and chest
5) Get fitter
I was obviously nervous about the first time since I haven't been to a gym since I left school many years ago. My brother is training me and helping me with the correct ways of doing things.
I was a little concerned about my bad wrist injury and knees from the car crash, but after my first day, I think I did ok. The only machine I had difficulty with was the bicep curls as this causes my wrist to go all weird. Not sure how to describe it really, it may be easier to take a picture next time.
Anyway, I had a really good workout, a protein shake afterwards and now I am really tired and not looking forward to the burning aches tomorrow morning. I may or may not go back on Thursday...
