Pen y Fan Circular Walk

In preparation for climbing Ben Nevis later in the year, my brother in law and I headed over to South Wales and the Brecon Beacons to do a circular walk covering three peaks and Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales.

On Saturday 20th March 2010 me and my brother-in-law set off from Pen-y-pass along the PYG track all the way to the summit of Snowdon. After climbing on, over and through rocks, mud, scree, shale, snow and ice we eventually made it to the top.

We have arrived back at the hotel safe and sound. Slight deviation from the plan due to weather conditions and ended up walking over 20 miles.

We did it! We actually did it!!! We climbed snowdon!!! We are currently stood on the summit of Snowdon 1,085 m (3,560 ft) above sea level and the highest peak in England and Wales.
