Fireworks are a class of low explosive pyrotechnic devices used for aesthetic and entertainment purposes. They were invented in 7th century China. The most common use of a firework in the UK is Firework Night (Bonfire night, Guy Fawkes night) is a night (or week) of fireworks displays. In 1605, thirteen young men planned to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Among them was Guy Fawkes, Britain's most notorious traitor.

On the night of November 5th, throughout Britain, we commemorate the capture of Guy Fawkes with bonfires and fireworks, and by burning an effigy of Guy.
