Radio Astronomy

Radio astronomy is a subfield of astronomy that studies celestial objects at radio frequencies. Special telescopes are used to receive radio signals from space and are capable of “seeing” through clouds and can even be used during the day. Radio telescopes can be used individually or multiple telescopes can be used to form an array known as an interferometer.
